Blogmas 2019: My (short) Year in Books, Newfound Loves & Dreams

This year has flown by. Quite literally, actually. I'm not sure when it became December, or when Autumn faded into Winter so seamlessly, but it did. And now everything is moving so fast that I've completely forgotten my Blogmas plans, finishing my Goodreads challenge and rushing to buy gifts...

If you had told me we'd be two days from Christmas Day this morning, I'm pretty sure I would have laughed a very panic-ridden omg what even is this kind of laugh. Now we're so close to the New Year (and full of immense things to look forward to) I thought it was about time that I look (briefly) back on the year and everything that I'm proud of, thankful for, and everything that's happened on PLM that needs recapping!

  • Shadow of The Fox by Julie Kagawa
  • The Wolves of Winter by Tyrell Johnson
  • The Boneless Mercies by April Genevieve Tucholke

If I had to pick my TOP THREE favourite books I've read this year, they would be:
1. What If It's Us
2. Puddin'
3. Whiskey In A Teacup

I know what you're thinking, a non-fiction book made the top three?! Well, if you had read Reese's book, you'd know just how gorgeous it is. I fell head over heels for the pictures of growing up in the south, the recipes, the everything. For What If It's Us, being number one, it's very rightly so. I can't believe how beautiful the story was. Just thinking about it gets me RIGHT IN THE FEELS. And then there's Puddin' and I'm saddled up ready to slip back into the Dumplin' universe and root for my girls.

This year, me and Sophie from 23 Review Street (also my IRL Sister) went to London! It's our third trip (we went with Scholastic and on a vacation a year ago) and saw so many incredible things. We managed to snag a picture with the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child sign and also went to TONS of book stores. Did you know the Foyles there has SIX FLOORS?! Yes. It was so incredible. I think I got lost like five times and bought my weight in books but it was the BEST. We go to London every year, so in 2019 I'm definitely looking forward to going again.

This year I also launched beccajayne.com - a site for HTML Coding tips, freebies and tutorials! It's my first step in a creative outlet and it launched in September of this year. It's been so incredible getting to share so many tips with other bloggers and a little wisdom. In 2019, I'll be making it even better and BRIGHTER. Everything can only get better!

When LCC came into my life, it only changed for the better. And I am so thankful for everything that it's brought! LCC has gathered such a huge amount of love and I'm so excited for what 2019 will bring for this little candle shop!

Pretty Little Memoirs means the world to me. I started this book blog in 2012 and it's carried me through illness, success, failure, friendships, connections and getting to take part in things I thought were only in dreams. I want to say a HUGE thank you to the Publishers, Authors, PR, Bloggers and Readers that have made my 2018 so memorable and I am forever thankful for your love and support in making PLM the best I can. I know that lately it's been hard finding the time to post, keep a schedule and more, but my love for this blog and you all, will never, ever change.

What are your plans for 2019?

What was your favourite read of the year?
